  Full of Hell released a great live album but so did Jarhead Fertilizer, the band of Dave Bland, the drummer of FoH. 'Product of My Environment' is a deathgrind journey into criminality and it’s perfect for these times.  Released in February on Closed Casket Activities, it’s an album that keeps getting better the more you listen to it. With its movie references and Mortician cover 'Drowned In Your Blood', David, Brandon, and Sam sound like they played their guts out. There is so much energy in every song that you really feel the need to go to a live show and bang your head on this. Just listen to 'Life Is A Prison', 'Silence The Narc', and 'Paranoia Seeping'. Don’t you wish you were in the moshpit already?   With 11 songs that cover 20 minutes, the journey is over far too quickly, but you know, I’ve got more things to do and because of that I must say thank you Jarhead for making me do other things that really need to be done……..instead of liste...

Social media always helps me to find great music. On the Facebook group, There’s No Good Metal Anymore they actually share some great metal albums. And I came across this one: French deathgrind/crust/hardcore band Pilori from France. Their debut album 'À Nos Morts'  (To Our Dead) came out on the 26th of June and it is definitely something to mosh to. Tracklist: 1. Que la Bête Meure (with Dylan Walker from Full Of Hell) 2. The one-man band Feed Them Death makes very original, very nihilistic grindcore/death metal with industrial and noise influences. Founded in 2014 in Japan (the Chiba prefecture to be precise), these four anonymous gentlemen have released their second full-length album Undercurrent on Daymare Recordings. Their 2017 debut Hatred was mainly hard, fast, groovy and riff-oriented. Undercurrent has more variety and even better production. The vocals are more in the foreground and more importantly, the drums. And those get more room on this second grindcore/power-violence gem. Tracklist 1. Demise 2.Vertigo 3. Punishment 4. Lack 5. Welcome to the Humanity Sucks show with today: grind/crust/sludge band The Human Race is Filth or  T.H.R.I.F. Their second EP 'Liberate' was released on April 6th and was recorded in the Oblivion Studios where Pig Destroyer and Agoraphobic Nosebleed also recorded their violent walls of terrorgrind. Concrete Soldier T.H.R.I.F. has put up a similar wall, but more crusty and stable, mainly due to the alternation between fast and sludgy slow riffs like on 'Chain Game'. This keeps the album fresh and interesting. The grunts sound sore throaty, especially in the super slow song 'Slow March' where you almost see the pharynx slowly turn reddish until there are small boils of pus that eventually snap and .....o sorry I went full goregrind mode on you there, just a sec.....ahem.
