Nowadays the word epic is completely taken out of context. When someone drops his peanut butter sandwich and catches it with the smeared side up, it is considered epic. Have we forgotten that an epic battle, cannot be fought with just one peanut butter sandwich? I haven't. And to prove the point, here’s my review of Tales From The Frozen Lands, Pt. 2 by the one-man epic black metal band Dead Crown. In just four songs, Dead Crown creates a cold atmosphere where somewhere between the glaciers a battle is about to begin. A battle between Norse gods, unknown ones, and wolves. Inspired by his travels to Iceland, Fausto (real name Pedro Martinez, the man behind all this) invented a lyrical universe based on Norse mythology and fantasy.
